End report

At the end of June, 2006, the Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the 10th International Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies in the Light Industry – INLEGMASH’2006. The Exhibition was arranged by Expocentre, ZAO and Messe Duesseldorf GmbH (Germany), with relevant support from VDMA (German Engineering Federation) and ACIMIT (Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers). The event is run on a biennial basis under the patronage from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Inlegmash is making the list of exhibition events approved by UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and IUEF – the International Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.

Year in year out, the numbers of Inlegmash exhibitors and country-participants have been increasingly on the rise. The latest event was attended by 300 European and Asian companies (a 20% surge on the previous Inlegmash’2004 Exhibition) from 21 countries. The total exhibition area was over 4 000 sq m.

The participants included such major companies as BENNINGER CO. LTD (Switzerland), DAMKO B.V. (Netherlands), GROZ-BECKERT KG NADELFABRIKEN (Germany), JAEGGLI MECCANOTESSILE S.R.L (Italy), JAKOB MUELLER AG (Switzerland), KARL MAYER MALIMO TEXTILMASCINENFABRIK GmbH, KARL MAYER TEXTILMASCINENFABRIK GmbH (Germany), LINDAUER DORNIER GmbH, LONATI S.P.A. (Italy), MAN FERROSTAAL AG (Germany), RIETER AUTOMATIK GmbH PLASTICS MACHINERY, RIETER INGOLSTADT SPINNEREIMASCHINENBAU AG (Germany), SANGIACOMO S.P.A., SANTONI S.P.A., TEXITA S.A. S.R.L. (Италия), TEXTIMA EXPORT IMPORT GmbH (Germany), VAN DE WIELE N.V. (Belgium), not to mention a multitude of other names.

Notably, Italy and Germany maintained their national exhibit areas. Clearly, such a high-profile participation in Inlegmash’2006 was fully in line with the leadership roles played by those companies in the area of manufacturing industrial lines and applications for the Russian-based textile and garment industries.

Russian exhibitors included ООО Kostromskoye SKB TM, Moscow Experimental Factory No. 1, ОАО Tekstilmash, ОАО Tulatochmash, just as many other well-to-do operations.

Making a debut at the Exhibition was the Ivanovo State Textile Academy – one of the leading Russian educational institutions known for provision of certified engineers for the domestic textile and garment industries.

The Exhibition was attended by a total of more than 3 000 people, with 85% of those being either Russian or CIS-based textile and garment-manufacturing experts. Clearly, they took the best advantage of the opportunities provided by Inlegmash’2006 in order to examine new products and technologies and boost their knowledge needed to assure further development of their industrial operations.
