New knitwear line started up in Tomsk region

The director of the department for the development of domestic trade, the light industry, and product turnover legalization has attended the ceremony commencing a new pile knitted fabric line at the Tsarina garment factory in the Tomsk region.

The factory invested 75 million rubles in the new workshop, which has a rated capacity of 216 tonnes of knitwear per year. The workshop will meet Tsarina’s demand for materials and the wholesale market demand for such products.

As of today, the Russian market of pile knitted fabric has an annual capacity of 1,600-1,800 tonnes, in addition to imports of end products.

"This enterprise is unique for our country, considering that it operates on the consumer market, where competition against our eastern neighbors is very tight," Yevgeny Ryzhov said.
