Inlegmash 2021 International Industry Conference has started

The first Inlegmash 2021 International Industry Conference has opened within the accompanying programme of the Inlegmash 20th Anniversary International Exhibition for Equipment for the Textile and Garment Industry.

Today the first part of the conference took place, devoted to the topic “Digital Printing on Textiles and Finished Goods” (digital printing, screen printing, direct to garment printing)

The conference is attended by top managers and specialists from Russian and international companies, including global brands such as Epson and Konica Minolta, equipment customers, small and medium-sized businesses, and technologists. 

Opening the practical session, moderator Andrey Vasilyev, General Director of World Print System (WPS) said that there would be discussions about digital printing on fabrics and garment elements, as well as outlining the absolute trends that had become clear now following the pandemic market development, as well as solutions to the problems associated with this

Andrey Dynkin, Manager of Epson's Moscow office, told about new industrial printers for dye-sublimation and textile printing. In particular, he introduced colleagues to F3000 printer for direct printing on DTG textile with unique characteristics, EPSON new sublimation solution for speed up to 255m2/h - F10000, and also R5010 which provides the highest quality printing of advertising production with environmentally friendly water-based inks 

Grigory Sumenkov, Commercial Director of Textile & Technology, devoted his presentation to the supply and maintenance of equipment in international lockdown. In particular, he cited new cases of equipment start-up and service via Skype.

Maxim Maximov, Head of Textiles at Konica Minolta, gave a presentation on "Digital vs. Analog. Direct digital printing on textiles - added value". Until recently, he said, digital printing was not taken seriously by large textile printing companies because digital printers were slow. Today, however, the situation is changing. High-speed digital printers have appeared, including those for single-pass printing. And today they can not only compete with analogue rotary printing but can even produce better results.

Andrey Makachyov, Director General of SMART-T and Vice President of the Association of Textile Workers of Russia, shared his experience of implementing digital textile printing in Russia based on 19 years of practice. According to him, the advantage of digital technology lies in its flexibility and speed of adjustment.

Vladimir Bakhtin, General Director of Allart Service, gave an overview of the textile printers market for natural fabrics and stated that printing on natural fabrics is booming in Russia right now. He gave an example of his company. Sales of its equipment and consumables for printing on natural fabrics grew last year, despite the pandemic.

Alexander Konovalov, chief technical expert at Nissa Stensart, drew attention to the use of pigment dyes in various segments of the textile industry, the special features and differences of pigmented screen printing, as well as direct digital printing on textiles.

Conference participants noted the practical importance of the discussion and exchange of experiences for the development of the industry's business.
